We still seem to get people with numbers that are hard to read. Yellow on white/silver or red on black do not provide enough contrast in bad light 100 feet away while you're doing 50 mph.
The rule book states that numbers have to be a minimum of 8 inches tall and over an inch wide. 3 inch numbers don't cut it.
